Entertaining Made Easy
I like to entertain but I don't like to cook. To be honest, I don't really have a domestic bone in my body. It takes everything in me to cook a meal or to clean. I would rather eat appetizers for dinner than cook a meal, most of the time even when I go out to dinner I like to order apps! I am gluten-free so I'd like to say that has something to do with it, but it doesn't. I never have liked to cook, or clean for that matter! When I go to a dinner party my contribution usually consists of a bottle of wine and a block of cheese. When I am having people over and I want to throw a spread together I take the easy way out. I make it look pretty, but it takes no time AT ALL. I bought some inexpensive trays, bowls, and a cheese board from Target. You want to talk about time savings (or maybe I am a bit lazy) I get pre-cut carrots, celery, and cheese.
So here are some SUPER easy appetizers that are really easy to make look pretty (and like they took effort):
- Veggie Tray with Ranch
- Goat cheese topped with raspberry jam and served with gluten free crackers.
- Caprese Salad- Sliced tomatoes, pre-cut mozerella, topped with basil, and drizzled with balsamic vinegar.
A moscow mule is a great choice for a easy and tasty drink to serve. Just pour some Tito's vodka over ice and add ginger beer and a lime wedge! It all looks so fancy (and takes no time at all)! Also clean up is just as easy. Not slaving over a stove or dreading clean up makes the party so much more enjoyable, so bottoms up!
