New Years: Up North
Every year we spend new year's up north. We live in Central Wisconsin you wouldn't think there is much furtherer up north to go, but there is! Mike's uncle has a home here and is generous enough to allow us to stay in his guest home. It's a weekend filled of reading by the fire, eating loads of food, ice fishing (this is what the guys do as I read by the fire, that's my type of ice fishing), snowmobiling, and hitting some hidden gems. It's a great opportunity to unwind, unplug and recharge.
My favorite part of the weekend is always running around with Harper on the Ice. He absolutely loves it up here, in this winter wonderland.
Last night we had dinner at Aqualand a gastro pub in Boulder Junction, and rang in the New Year at the Pea Patch with some amazing Fireworks! Today we are going to take the snowmobile's out for a ride and enjoy the first day of 2017 in the snow. ❄️
How did you ring in the New Year? I'd love to hear all about it!
Cheers to 2017!
