What I am Thankful For
What I am Thankful For (In no particular order)
My Amazing Husband and Puppy
After a long day of work, coming home to my husband and puppy always makes me smile. Mike has taught Harper to bring in the mail (he walks with him of course and hands it to him), seeing Harper walk with the mail in his mouth and Mike by his side fills me with such joy! It never gets old.
The Gilmore Girls Revival
If you read What I Learned from Gilmore Girls, then you know I am OBSESSED. I am not kidding when I say this show changed my life! I know, sounds dramatic, but when I lived by myself in Arizona while I was going to school, coming home and turning this show on was so comforting to me. I never thought a revival would actually happen and started to lose hope that I would ever know the last four words Amy Sherman Palladino had planned since the pilot! I am very much looking forward to watching (and rewatching) the Year in the Life.
Friends and Family (Old and New!)
This year I have made some really amazing new friends! Some people I know HATE this saying, but I really think it's true, "Your vibe attracts your tribe." Since starting my business I have met some really empowering women! It's important to have friends that are there to be your support system and really understand the struggles you are facing.
Seeing so many friends this year at my wedding just filled me with so much joy!! I can't even describe how wonderful it was to see so many of my friends from all different points in my life in the same room. Most of my friends have really turned into family for me, and I wish I had more time to spend with each and every one of them.
My family and Mike's family were so supportive during the planning of our wedding and I couldn't be more grateful! We are truly blessed to have such an amazing support system surrounding us.
Our Wedding & Honeymoon
Of course this is a BIG one. Our wedding and honeymoon were truly dreams come true! I have no complaints about either and am beyond grateful for how everything turned out. You can read about our wedding here and our honeymoon here.
Wedding Business & Clients
This year I expanded Kase Styles into Event Planning & Styling, and so far it's been a great addition! I absolutely love styling photo shoots and weddings, everyone I have worked with so far has been amazing.
Often times we say we our grateful for our health, but really we take it for granted. My stepdad gave a speech at our weddding where he talked about the importance of our health, because if we don't have that what do we have? This year (knock on wood) has been a great year for feeling great and not getting sick! Now if those few pounds I gained on my honeymoon could just go away...
Dear Sugar and #Girlboss Podcast
Like Gilmore Girls, when I really like something I fully commit! This year my favorite podcasts have been Dear Sugar and #girlboss. I love listening to them whether I am driving, cleaning, or grocery shopping (pretty much anything I don't want to be doing). They really help me think and reflect on my life, who I am as a person, and what is really important to me.
Our Beautiful home
Growing up I moved ALL THE TIME and rarely stayed in one spot. Since moving back to Wausau I have lived in the same house for about 4 years, longer than I have ever lived in one house before! Mike built our lovely home before I met him and since then he has let me come in and pretty much decorate it however I want. I complain about it being too small and not having a walk in closet, but when it comes down to it, it's an incredible space. It's always a work in progress, and if we have kids we may need to discuss an addition (or heaven forbid, moving!), but I am so grateful to have a house that we call home.
Every morning I get a Hazelnut Soy Latte from Starbucks. I know it's kind of frivolous and seems minuscule but it make me happy! It puts me in a great mood and gives me the energy I need to face the day with a positive attitude. I love coffee and can't imagine a world without it. Especially as the weather gets colder there is just something about a warm cup of coffee!
I can't thank you enough for reading and supporting this blog! It has become so much more to me than just a blog and creative outlet and I have you to thank! Putting yourself out there and taking a risk is hard, and having people tell me they love my blog or even that they read it means so much to me.
What are you thankful this holiday season? I would love to hear! Leave it in the comments below!
